Bilingual IT Migration Test Coordinator – Active Directory & Microsoft Teams

On behalf of our client, Vaquarii is seeking a Bilingual IT Migration Test Coordinator – Active Directory & Microsoft Teams for a 6-Month Contract. There is a high chance of extension.

The perfect candidate will support a major enterprise integration initiative involving the migration and consolidation of Active Directory (AD), Microsoft Teams, and related business applications and services.

Services would be carried out through a Hybrid Schedule from downtown Calgary headquarters. 

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate end-to-end business user testing / User Acceptance Testing (UAT) associated with Active Directory, Microsoft Teams, and related migration activities.
• Identify applications, business processes, and user groups impacted by migration activities and ensure appropriate testing coverage.
• Work with application owners and business stakeholders to identify business-critical applications requiring testing before and after migration.
• Develop and maintain testing schedules, plans, trackers, checklists, and status reports.
• Organize and schedule testing activities with business users while minimizing disruption to day-to-day operations.
• Coordinate testing across stakeholders and technical teams located in Canada and Colombia.
• Ensure appropriate business users and application owners are identified and available to participate in testing.
• Help define test scenarios and expected outcomes for impacted applications and business processes.
• Track testing progress, results, defects, issues, dependencies, and outstanding actions through resolution.
• Coordinate the escalation of migration-related issues to the appropriate technical or application teams.
• Facilitate communication between business users and technical migration teams throughout testing cycles.
• Coordinate pre-migration and post-migration validation to confirm users can successfully access required applications, collaboration tools, data, and services.
• Ensure testing evidence, results, approvals, and business sign-offs are appropriately documented.
• Provide regular status updates regarding testing readiness, completion, outstanding issues, and risks.
• Support migration readiness and cutover activities as required.

Must Have Skills:

1. Fluent or professional working proficiency in both English and Spanish.
2. Previous experience coordinating IT testing, UAT, business validation, or migration testing.
3. Experience supporting a significant IT infrastructure, workplace technology, application, or enterprise migration.
4. Strong understanding of Active Directory (AD) and the business/user impacts associated with domain, identity, account, or access migrations.
5. Familiarity with Microsoft Teams and Microsoft 365 environments.
6. Experience coordinating testing involving multiple applications, business groups, and stakeholders.
7. Demonstrated ability to organize and schedule testing for business-critical applications while minimizing operational disruption.
8. Strong experience working directly with business users, application owners, technical teams, and project stakeholders.
9. Ability to develop and maintain test plans, schedules, test scenarios, issue logs, trackers, and status reporting.
10. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple testing activities, dependencies, and deadlines simultaneously.
11. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to Have Skills:

1. Previous experience supporting an M&A, acquisition, divestiture, or enterprise integration program.
2. Experience coordinating technology integrations involving organizations operating across multiple countries or regions.
3. Previous experience working with teams or business operations in Canada and Latin America.
4. Oil & Gas / Energy industry experience.
5. Experience with Microsoft 365 tenant migrations, Teams migrations, identity migrations, or domain consolidation.
6. Understanding of Entra ID (Azure Active Directory), authentication, permissions, security groups, Single Sign-On (SSO), and identity/access management concepts.
7. Experience testing integrations between enterprise applications and Active Directory / Entra ID.
8. Familiarity with migration cutovers, hypercare, go-live readiness, and post-migration validation.
9. Experience with tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, ServiceNow, SharePoint, or similar testing/project tracking platforms.
10. Formal testing, project management, or Agile certifications are considered an asset.

What Success Looks Like

• The successful candidate will bring structure and visibility to business testing throughout the migration, ensuring that impacted users and applications are identified, testing is completed on schedule, and issues are surfaced and resolved before they create operational disruption.
• They will act as the bridge between the technical migration teams and the business, ensuring stakeholders in both Canada and Colombia understand what needs to be tested, when testing needs to occur, and what constitutes a successful migration.
• Ultimately, success means that business-critical applications, user access, collaboration tools, and key business processes continue to operate as expected throughout the Active Directory and Microsoft Teams migration.
