Senior Physical Security Technology Consultant:
On behalf of our oil & gas client, Vaquarii is seeking a Senior Physical Security Technology Consultant for a 6-Month Contract. Services would be carried out though an Onsite Work Schedule from their downtown Calgary headquarters.
Responsibilities:
- Provide Subject Matter expertise, and administration duties, for VMS/Access control platforms
- Support field and office locations with VMS/Access Management system design, deployment, upgrades, maintenance and troubleshoot.
- Support commissioning of new Digital Physical Security systems in field and office locations.
- Liaise with multiple vendors, and internal IT resources, with respect to VMS/Access control software concerns/Troubleshoot.
- Heavy emphasis on collaboration with all aspects of IT function, (EUS, CSO, Network, Projects, Etc.). Business acumen in this area will be considered a strong asset.
- Participate in Corporate Security program, processes, and system reviews with internal and external peers.
- Provide SME level support to Threat Response and Communication Centre.
- Build, maintain and optimize Physical Security digital assets.
- Support technology roadmap and Innovation cycles.
- Support managing our VAR integrators.
- Support the deployment and upgrade of Access management systems across corporate systems.
- Support the lost identification/access control cards process.
- Manage identification/access control card requests and emails in a timely manner.
- Troubleshoot identification/access control cards technical issues.
- Complete and carry out all necessary documentation for Contractor Badge Requests.
- Update and maintain Access Control Policies.
- Maintain record of restricted access requests and obtain approval by authorizer.
- Conduct monthly and quarterly access control audits and provide access control configuration reports.
Must Have Skills:
- Trade-School, College, or University degree with 7-10 years of relevant experience.
- Proven experience deploying, troubleshooting, maintaining VMS/Access Management systems.
- Hands-On experience with MS OS systems including Imaging and custom scripting.
- Experience designing and customizing Network Video Recorders or similar Industrial Appliances.
- Effectively use various software including but not limited to electronic ticketing and management systems and other software packages.
- Genetec Security center certified with proven experience.
- Hands-on experience with Physical Security products. (Cameras, Intercoms, Access management, door HW, Keying, Radar detection systems, Drones, Vibration and intrusion sensors, etc.)
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with proprietary OS deployment process would be considered an asset.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies
- Familiarity with process improvement models such as Lean Six Sigma
- Physical Security Industry certifications such as PSP, CPP
- industry recognized relevant IT certification.
