Senior Organizational Change Manager

Senior Organizational Change Manager:

On behalf of our oil & gas client, Vaquarii is seeking a Senior Organizational Change Manager for an 18-Month Contract with a high possibility of extension or conversion to full-time employment.

 

The perfect candidate will lead the organizational change management strategy for a large-scale, multi-year ERP transformation, ensuring employees and leaders are prepared, engaged, and supported throughout the change. You’ll partner with business leaders to drive stakeholder adoption through communications, training, coaching, change impact assessments, and long-term sustainment planning.

 

Services would be carried out though a Hybrid Work Schedule from their downtown Calgary headquarters.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Applies expert OCM knowledge to prepare and deliver change management assessments and plans for the Company’s multi-year ERP implementation across multiple stakeholder groups and levels of the organization including senior leadership.
  • Follows change management standards and principles; utilizes or modifies available tools and services to implement a structured best fit change approach within a program or initiative.
  • Completes and assesses detailed readiness, change impact, and/or stakeholder analyses.
  • Develops the workstream-level OCM approach including communication, sponsor roadmap, learning, coaching, management of risk and issues and acceptance/resistance.
  • Oversees and/or performs the required communication and change management activities.
  • Prepares key stakeholders to present OCM deliverables such as communications and presentations.
  • Works with related Human Resource teams including the organizational Change Management office, Human Resources Business Partners, Talent Management, Learning and Development, to develop and deliver holistic/integrated OCM solutions, including:
      • Accurate change impact and stakeholder analysis
      • Appropriate communication and learning approaches
      • Effective transition management
      • Effective risk management/mitigation
      • Support for leaders in leading through change
  • Consults with leaders at all levels to gain sponsorship, approval and engagement of the business and the affected key audiences in executing the change management strategy.
  • Provides coaching in change management, resistance management and change sponsorship to the project manager, business lead, change sponsor, project team, the extended change team, and others identified through stakeholder assessment.
  • Continuously assesses potential issues/risks, conflicting priorities, and opportunities for integration across multiple concurrent programs/initiatives and raises these to leadership as appropriate
  • Evaluates the success of change management activities and provides progress reports to key stakeholders as required.
  • Monitors change adoption in the organization and plans additional OCM activities to support gaps in adoption or continued realization of change benefits.
  • Facilitates and guides senior leaders and business process owners on long term sustainment to operationalize and embed changes.
  • Supports the objectives of the Company’s corporate organizational change management function through:
      • Sharing of expertise and best practices o Adoption of corporate OCM, communications and learning standards
      • Contribution to the continual improvement of the corporate OCM methodology and tools
      • Active participation in the broader OCM community of practice
      • Championing the role of the OCM function 

 

Must Have Skills:

  1. Minimum 10 years of OCM experience.
  2. University degree in Business Management, Human Resources, Organization Effectiveness or Development or related field.
  3. Must demonstrate continuing education/development to remain current in the profession.
  4. Prosci and/or other change management certification/professional designation is preferred.

 

Nice to Have Skills:

  1. Experience with Enterprise Asset Management/Operations teams, processes and change initiatives
  2. Experience with complex, multi-year transformation projects
  3. Master’s degree in a related field considered an asset.

  • Hybrid Work Schedule (Mon/Tue/Thu in office)
