Senior IT Project Manager
On behalf of our government client, Vaquarii is seeking a Senior IT Project Manager for an 12-month contract to work on the Planning and Development Services related technology projects.
Responsibilities:
- This PM would work on the Planning and Development Services related technology projects.
- New and in-flight projects will be assigned.
- Will be responsible in creating project management deliverables i.e. plans, schedules, timelines, resourcing, etc.
- Will also be responsible for participating in agile scrums.
Must Have Skills:
- Five (5) years’ of T project management experience (the majority of this experience should have been practiced in accordance with the generally recognized good practices identified in PMI’s PMBOK® Guide, in recent years).
- 5 years of experience leading small to mid-sized projects.
- 5 years of experience creating resource plans.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Of this experience, at least three (3) of the years should have been on medium to large technology projects, as defined by both size and complexity (size of projects may be defined in terms of budget, staff involvement, organizational impact, risk profile, complexity/number of stakeholders, and size of organization).
- Three (3) years of experience leading and supporting multidisciplinary project teams consisting of internal staff from IT and clients, contractors, and vendors.
- Three (3) years of experience with project resource planning, including participation in project team resourcing.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with proven ability to build and manage complex relationships with groups/individuals with varying perspectives, interest and roles.
- Strong leadership, planning and analytic skills.
- Well-developed facilitation and mediation skills including ability to work with a diverse audience and reach a consensus on critical project decisions.
- The ability to undertake multiple projects, manage competing demand s, prioritize and adjust resources.
- Previous work experience in the public sector or large organizations.
- Formal training and /or certification in project management (e.g., PMI Project Management Professional) is an asset.

- 12 months
