Artificial Intelligence Business Analyst:

On behalf of our Oil & Gas client, Vaquarii is seeking an Artificial Intelligence Business Analyst for a 10-Month Contract. Services would be carried out onsite from downtown Calgary headquarters. 

Responsibilities:

• Connect business needs with AI capabilities to ensure solutions are strategic, feasible, and adopted effectively.
• Maintain platform expertise and track emerging AI trends, tools, and best practices, including Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Anthropic Claude & Google Gemini.
• Assess business processes to identify where AI can add value or improve efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross‑department stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into technical specifications.
• Work with the AI Project Team to select appropriate AI technologies ensuring scalability and practicality.
• Liaise between business users and technical teams to manage timelines, resources, and deliverables.
• Evaluate AI platforms, tools, and vendors to recommend the best fit for organizational needs and budget.
• Provide training related to AI technologies or AI‑enabled processes.
• Assist with establishing and messaging responsible AI guidelines, data handling standards, and usage policies.
• Collaborate with IT Operations and Cybersecurity teams to ensure performance, scalability, security, and compliance across platforms.
• Develop reusable prompt patterns, guardrails, and evaluation frameworks.
• Test prompts across multiple models to determine best model fit for specific use cases.
• Create documentation and provide guidance to support adoption and compliance.
• Train internal staff to eventually backfill the role. 

Must Have Skills:

1. Maintain platform expertise and track emerging AI trends, tools, and best practices, including Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Anthropic Claude & Google Gemini.
2. Provide training related to AI technologies or AI‑enabled processes.
3. Collaborate with IT Operations and Cybersecurity teams to ensure performance, scalability, security, and compliance across platforms.

Nice to Have Skills:

1. A Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems, related discipline or equivalent experience.
2. Industry certifications are considered an asset.
